The Perfect Spring Fragrance

Spring Fragrance

Let’s talk about my new favourite thing in the whole world. I’m not even exaggerating. I’ve found the one. My soulmate. I’m obsessed. I’m in love with a fancy fragrance and I don’t care who knows it. I’ll never wear anything else ever again. Okay, okay, you get the idea. Seriously though. Let’s talk about this because I want to tell the world.

I’ve been wearing Rain* by Clean Reserve every day for about a week now and I’ve never felt so fresh and happy in all my life. Every room I walk into, every person I walk by, every time I’m sitting in the library feeling a bit bored and literally just smell myself, I’ve been complimented.

Rain? That’s a weird one!’ I hear you cry into your laptop/phone/tablet screen. Well, you’re right. That’s what drew me to it in the first place, to be honest. I was intrigued. Sure they have an amazing array of fancy fragrances, from ‘Sueded Oud‘ (??) to ‘Skin‘ (???), but the idea of smelling like fresh rain is just so appealing, right?

That said, I was a little skeptical. Like, what if it just makes you smell damp?

Well, what do Space.NK say about it:

Inspired by a world renewed and refreshed after a lush rain fall. With notes of bergamot, white flowers, patchouli & vetiver.

Reserve Blend Rain captures the energy of a rainforest and the moment after a fresh rainfall when the air is so pure and fresh, you can actually smell life. The fragrance is created from an unexpected combination of a fruity floral notes blended with fresh patchouli vetiver and musks.

Each Clean Reserve fragrance was created to be dynamic and evoke, not memories of the past, but possibilities and experiences yet to be discovered. Each is linear without much movement from top to bottom, making it ideal for layering and blending.

Sounds pretty good to me. I mean, I have no idea what most of those scents are, or what any of that means. But you’re intrigued, right?

Does it actually smell like rain? Well… no. Not really. Not in a real life rain kind of way. But it does smell like spring and that’s good enough for me. It’s honestly such a pretty scent. Delicate, fresh and just generally really lovely.

As I say, the compliments are rolling in.

It’s also a really comforting scent. Everyone has said it reminds them of something but they’re not quite sure what. I definitely agree. There’s something about it that smells like home or being younger, or something along those lines. It’s calming and refreshing and just lovely.

Can you tell I’m really excited?

Also let’s talk about how pretty and minimalist the bottle is? Simple label, gorgeous wooden lid, what more could a gal want?

Obsessed. Absolutely obsessed.

  • Ooooh Imii this sounds dreeeamy. I actually thought the fragrance would smell like petrichor (fave word) which is basically the smell you get after it has rained on a warm day. But this sounds nicer haha! Will have to pop in to Space NK and check it out! Immy x

  • This really intrigued me, especially because of the packaging, it’s beautiful! I think I’ve also realised that all of my favourite scents are floral/fresh/musk based so I love the sound of rain, skin, blonde rose and warm cotton! .Alice xxx

I am a huge fan of perfumes, especially if they have pretty bottles and smell floral and fresh.
