As I’ve definitely mentioned, exams are officially over and I’m technically now a graduand going on graduate going on masters student. What a progression. I’m well and truly living the dream when it comes to the university experience, right? In that perfect summer between having to work hard and having to work really bloody hard. How exciting.
To honour that, I’ve decided to treat myself a little bit. I’ll be honest, my favourite little item is my ‘Van Mildert’ cap but that’s pretty niche so you’re probably not as excited as I am. I mean, if you’re a member of Durham’s VM then by all means jump on it next time the stash order comes around (and also hit me up!) but yeah. 99% of you don’t care. I care though, and that’s all that matters.
I’m also obsessed with this New Look clutch. I mean, just look at it. Much embroidery. Such beading. Wow. Seriously though, isn’t it lovely? I can’t wait to debut it properly at one of the three balls I’ll be attending in the next two weeks (#justDurhamthings). My dresses for the balls are really plain so it’ll add a little bit of glitter and sparkle to the whole thing. It’s also a really nice size for carrying everything in, while not being too big. There’s nothing worse than an annoying clutch.
Moving onto the tech in my life. I’ve been a marble laptop case gal for a long time now, so I thought it was time to shake things up. This floral macbook case is just gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. I’ve had so many compliments on it and it’s pretty functional too so there we are. I’m also hoping it’ll appear as a little blog prop in a few more posts/insta shots because yolo. It really brightens up a flatlay. Happy as a clam.
Finally is the phone case of dreams for anyone who has somewhere a little bit special to them. In my case, that special place is the road I lived on for ten months in Paris: the Rue Monge, in the Latin Quarter. Case Company’s CityMarble Case* is honestly such a cute idea. It’s a lovely case, fits super well and is super streamlined on your phone – I have a real issue with clumpy phone cases. It’s also completely and utterly unique to me and I dig that. I chose the location, positioned it perfectly, and chose the caption and colour scheme. Honestly, I love it and it makes me happy every time I turn over my phone. Such happy memories.
